About This Blog

This blog will be about women in comedy, specifically in television shows. The specific shows will be The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Friends. I will be discussing how to women on these shows are portrayed by the writers and how the female characters in the show are treated by others. I will also write about how female characters can be seen in positions of power and how they are treated by men in similar positions of power. The last idea I will cover is how the actions of men towards women in television has effected the way women are treated in the real world and the impact that television can have.
